ESM-Ernst Schreiber GmbH Michelstadt

Welcome

ESM-Product Information
There is a whole host of producers of mouthpieces in the world, but it is only those manufacturers who carry out research and employ state-of-the-art technologies to develop and machine the mouthpieces who will be able to maintain their position in the future.
It is with a clear conscience that we can say of ourselves that we fulfil this fundamental prerequisite.
Renowned musicians around the world have confirmed this time and time again. Not only do they test our mouthpieces, they play them as well. We are thus in the position to claim:

Our mouthpieces are among the best ! We guarantee consistently high quality and precision in our clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces. Just try them out for yourself and you'll soon see !

Renowned manufacturers who work with hard rubber when producing mouthpieces have to live with differences in timbre within a mouthpiece series. It is working the hard rubber that presents a problem, because hard rubber is a type of synthetic material which invariably has to be worked by hand. As a result tolerances are produced which lead to differences in intonation and response so that constant quality cannot guaranteed.
This problem led us to search for a material similar to hard rubber which would respond more satisfactorily to machine tool processing, while requiring less hand working; we have indeed found such a material - a modified acrylic which in its natural vibration comes closest to hard rubber.
The material alone whose natural vibrational qualities closely resemble those of hard rubber, however, does not necessarily make a good mouthpiece; a huge range of technical equipment is required as well. CNC machines are used as a matter of course, as are diamond-tipped tools, to maintain the integrity of important design features. In testing our clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces you will undoubtedly observe that they are of the same constant quality and precision !
